Bronte beach and the first sunrise for 2017.
After doing a quick edit and blog post of last night’s new years fireworks, I managed to get to bed at 3.30am. My alarm went off at 4.50am – a full hour and 20 minutes later 😦 . Grumble aside, there’s nothing quite like being able to see the sun breach the horizon and feel those warm rays herald in the new year. Magical.
The now traditional new-years swim was also awesome, although a little colder than it was last week. And, as I’ve come to expect on this day, Bronte was again host to a mash of tourists, new years eve all-nighters’, lovers, locals, joggers, hippies and council workers.
Wherever you are in the world, have a wonderful day and here’s to 2017!

Some of the people…
Above: I had to chuckle at this fellow taking his first selfie of the new year.
My favourite shot of the morning.
Oh, and here’s the gallery viewer if you prefer to see the images at full-screen with the camera info and settings.
