Well, it’s that time of year again and Sydney is once again playing host the Vivid Light Festival. The photo’s I’ll share tonight will only focus on the Opera House as I didn’t head down there until 10.20pm (and the lights go off at 11pm!). Hopefully, I will make it out a few more times over the next week and have some more images to post in the days ahead.
OPERA HOUSE – Songlines
This years theme is entitled ‘Songlines’ and the projection marks the first indigenous work to be commissioned exclusively for the sails of the Sydney Opera House. I have to say it’s a stunning display; probably the best one I have seen since Vivid started 8 years ago. The story celebrates our country through paintings that depict our interconnected history lines and early trade routes; personal journeys and timeless ideas that privilege the art of Australia’s most influential contemporary First Nations artists.
